Singapore: Okinawa FESTA – FREE Admission @ St James Power Station (15 Oct 16)



In Japan – Okinawa is one of the best vacation spots, with plenty of lush beaches and sites to visit. However, Okinawa also has a unique culture of its own that’s quite different from the rest of Japan, and that culture is on the show for the Okinawa Festa in Singapore event.

During this special Festa, you and your family with friends are able to enjoy the LIVE music performances by popular home-grown Okinawa bands, MONGOL800 & RYUKYUDISCO!

The stage will be an interesting mishmash of RYUKYUDISCO’s  fusion of dance and traditional Okinawan music, and MONGOL800’s punk rock sound. Everyone can get this rare chance to catch the bands in an intimate setting at this one-time only concert.
Okinawa’s premium lifestyle product shop will be there too, together with Okinawa yummy food stalls!!
Everyone can expect to taste some Okinawan cuisine along with the island’s signature Orion Beer.
There is special Okinawan ceramics, or ‘Yachimun’, will be on display alongside some of their local
glassware, also known as Ryukyu glass.
Other than that there will be Okinawan local apparel name YOKANG on display, known for their use of traditional dyeing technique and vibrant colours.
